Staff Accountant
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Staff Accountant to join our team. The ideal candidate will assist with financial statement preparation, tax filings, and advisory services, ensuring the highest level of accuracy and client satisfaction.
Responsibilities:

Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.

Complete corporate and personal tax returns in compliance with Canadian tax laws.

Assist with the preparation of year-end working papers and related documentation.

Perform account reconciliations and analyze financial data.
-
Provide support during audits and collaborate with external auditors as needed.

Develop and maintain strong client relationships, providing financial insights and recommendations.

Stay current with accounting standards and tax regulations.
Qualifications:

Post-secondary education in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.

CPA designation or working towards it is preferred.

2+ years of experience in accounting, preferably within a public accounting firm.

Proficiency in accounting software such as QuickBooks, CaseWare, and ProFile.

Strong knowledge of Canadian GAAP and tax laws.

Co-Op Student
We are looking for a friendly and organized Co-op Student to join our team during tax season. This role is a great fit for a student interested in accounting, business, or office administration who wants hands-on experience in a real professional environment. You’ll be an important part of our front-office operations and will work closely with our accounting team to help keep tax season running smoothly.
What You’ll Do

Greet clients and help them drop off their tax documents

Answer phones and direct calls to the appropriate team member

File, scan, and organize client tax documents (paper and electronic)

Help collect client signatures on tax forms and engagement documents

Assist with receiving client payments
-
Ensure new client intake forms are completed and properly organized

Maintain client confidentiality and professionalism at all times

Provide general administrative support as needed during busy periods
